Choose the method
- Find out whether the land registry office, bank, or court requires an apostilled US power of attorney or a consular power of attorney.
- Make an appointment under the Notarial Services heading at konsolosluk.gov.tr and create a separate appointment for each person who will have a transaction carried out.
Prepare the documents
- Prepare the agent’s first name, surname, Turkish ID number, and date of birth; if the agent is a lawyer, also prepare the bar association, registration number, and business address.
- Prepare the necessary documents and information related to the title deed, vehicle, bank, or company transaction.
- For transactions that require them, bring two identical color passport-size photographs taken within the last 6 months and your valid identification.
Signing and delivery
- Read the power of attorney text carefully and notify the officer of any error you notice before signing.
- If required for the document notarized in the US, obtain County Clerk and state apostille approval, then send the document to your agent in Turkey.
- Send the document by mail or deliver it by hand, or send the agent a photograph of the QR code; the agent can obtain a copy from a notary in Turkey.
