3. Obtain Form SSA-2458 if necessaryTo document that you do not receive social assistance, obtain a signed or stamped Form SSA-2458 from an SSA office; it must not be older than 30 days.
4. Apply for overseas service creditDepending on your Turkish citizenship, dual citizenship, or Mavi Kart status, apply to SGK for eligible periods spent in the USA.

5. Transfer your address abroadTo prevent GSS debt, transfer your residential address abroad through the population registry office or a consulate.

6. Obtain a health insurance certificateIf GSS debt has arisen, obtain a certified and translated health document from an official institution or private insurance company in the USA.
7. Submit the document to SGKSubmit the health document to the Social Security Provincial Directorate or Social Security Center serving your residence in Türkiye.

8. Meet the pension requirementsPermanently return, pay the portion of the debt sufficient for a pension to be granted, and qualify for a pension under Turkish legislation.
9. Send the pension documentsSend the Income/Pension/Allowance Request Form, the required declaration and undertaking form, and the current service certificate to SGK by mail.

10. Submit a written request for pension transferIf you want the pension granted in Türkiye sent to your US account, apply to SGK in writing; you must pay the transfer costs.
