Jonas Valanciunas Confirmed EuroLeague Talks, Announced Retirement Plan from NBA
Jonas Valanciunas stated that he has been in talks with EuroLeague teams and that his retirement decision from the NBA depends on the Denver Nuggets' plans.
Denver Nuggets' backup center Jonas Valanciunas announced that he has received intense interest from EuroLeague clubs following the first-round elimination of the NBA playoffs. Speaking on the PIKENROLAS program aired on 15min, Valanciunas said that talks are ongoing with multiple teams and a Lithuanian club, but the final decision depends on the Denver Nuggets' contract plans. Valanciunas emphasized that he will not rush into retirement or transfer decisions from the NBA and will not make a decision on his own will. These statements indicate that the player might return to the EuroLeague but no definite decision has been made yet.
