Indiana Fever's star player Caitlin Clark expressed that she also struggled mentally after a series of soft tissue injuries she experienced in the 2025 season. Clark, who missed one of the first games of the season, returned to the team quickly and played an important role in her team's victory against the Golden State Valkyries with 22 points. Clark stated that the recovery process after injury was not only physical but also challenging in terms of confidence. "After all, this is about me and my confidence," said Clark, adding that it took time to fully trust her body after the injuries. Clark, who was named Rookie of the Year in 2024 and is the highest-scoring player in NCAA history, was able to play only 13 games in the 2025 season due to injuries. Clark noted that her confidence fluctuated early in the season and that this was normal. She also emphasized that the physical intensity of the basketball she played in off-season tournaments was different from in-season games. Clark said she tried to get to know her body better after the injury and took care in the recovery process. In addition to her performance on the court, Clark shared the cover image of her children's book "EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams," which will be released in November. The book is inspired by Clark’s life and aims to inspire young people to dream big.
