Find the organization

1. Open the relevant directory categorySelect one of the Associations, Mosques and Places of Worship, or Consulates and Embassies categories.

4. Review listing detailsClick the listing and check the description, full address, directions, and map information.
5. Confirm the organization's informationBefore going, call the organization to verify its address, hours of operation, and event information.
6. Try alternative areasIf no listing appears in your city, select only the state or search neighboring counties.

7. Research the organization's activitiesReview the organization's activities, use of donations, administrators, and affiliated structure on its website.
8. Check tax and state registrationCheck tax-exempt status using the IRS tool and any required state registration with the state's regulatory agency.
9. Ask for information when solicited for a donationFind out the full name, website, mailing address, and how much of the donation will go directly to the program.
10. Pay safely and keep recordsUse a credit card or check instead of cryptocurrency, a transfer, payment app, or gift card, and keep your records.
