Anna Faris disclosed that a joke referencing Melania Trump was cut from the final edit of the newly released Scary Movie 6.
The actress said she wanted to portray her character Cindy Campbell with a tougher and more scathing edge. Faris described her character as someone "stuck in a classic MAGA dilemma," inspired by people who caused major scenes outside grocery stores during quarantine.
Scene Not Included in the Film
Faris recounted that in the removed scene, Cindy Campbell, drunk, looks into the mirror of her truck and says, "Be best, Cindy Campbell. Be best." This line was a clear nod to Melania Trump's "Be Best" campaign for children and youth launched during Donald Trump's first presidential term.
The actress said this part did not make it into the film but found it amusing as a small wink. She also noted that her character is deliberately intertwined with aggressive and provocative ideas in the movie, so such a joke felt natural to her.
Return to Scary Movie
After playing Cindy Campbell in five films of the series, Anna Faris did not appear in the 2013 Scary Movie 5. However, in the 2026 reboot, she reunited on camera with director Michael Tiddes, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Regina Hall.
The film was released on June 5 and topped the box office in the U.S. with an estimated $55 million gross in its opening weekend.
