Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators filled the streets of Copenhagen on Saturday, waving Palestinian flags as they marched from Esplanaden toward Denmark’s Foreign Ministry.
The rally was organized by the “Everyone on the Streets for a Free Palestine” initiative under the slogan “Three years of genocide,” and coincided with the first anniversary of the Gaza ceasefire. Danish broadcaster DR noted that Israeli attacks have continued despite the truce.

Five demands
Organizers urged the Danish government to push for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza, an end to the siege of the territory, the release of Palestinian prisoners and a Danish arms embargo on Israel.

The Copenhagen march was one of many pro-Palestinian demonstrations held around the world over the weekend, including rallies in Washington, London and Mexico City.
