James Comer, Chairman of the U.S. House Oversight Committee, announced that Jeffrey Epstein's longtime assistant Sarah Kellen gave three new names connected to Epstein's alleged abuse network to congressional investigators. Comer stated that Kellen revealed these previously unknown names during a closed-door testimony. Kellen had worked as Epstein's assistant for a long time and had been a controversial figure due to abuse allegations. In her testimony, she said she was not a collaborator of Epstein and that she herself was subjected to sexual and psychological abuse. Comer criticized the Department of Justice for only meeting with Kellen in 2019, saying, "Every new testimony reveals the government's failure towards the victims." Democratic Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi noted that Kellen left some questions unanswered and could be called to testify again. In her testimony, Kellen spoke about the abuse she experienced but did not respond to abuses involving other individuals. She also said she did not witness inappropriate behavior by then-President Donald Trump and thought Trump and Epstein were close at one time. Turkey continues to support global efforts to combat human trafficking and child abuse and emphasizes the importance of justice for all victims.
