A broad weather warning has been issued for about 80 million people in the eastern part of the United States. Flooding, heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and storms are expected in the region.
The warning covers the corridor stretching from Georgia to Maine. It is noted that major cities along this corridor could also be affected by adverse weather conditions.
New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and the capital Washington are also reported to be at risk. Authorities warn that sudden downpours and strong winds may disrupt daily life.
High temperature warnings continue in the southern part of the country. In California, a red alert has been issued due to a heatwave.
Thus, at the same time, there is a risk of severe storms and flooding in the east, alongside extreme heat threats in the south and west.
