Tesla announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company's performance in the April-June period showed that profit margins were under pressure despite revenue growth.
According to the financial statement, Tesla's total revenue rose 26 percent year-on-year to $28.2 billion. In the second quarter of 2025, the figure was $22.5 billion.
Despite this revenue increase, the company's net profit fell 5 percent to $1.11 billion. Net profit reported in the same quarter last year was $1.17 billion. Adjusted earnings per share also dropped from 40 cents to 33 cents.
The company continued its aggressive investments in artificial intelligence, autonomous driving technologies, and production infrastructure. Capital expenditures surged 142 percent year-on-year to $5.79 billion. The increased spending pushed free cash flow to negative $1.09 billion.
On the production and delivery front, Tesla manufactured 451,758 vehicles in the second quarter. Global deliveries climbed 25 percent year-on-year to 480,126.
