US President Donald Trump declared that Iran's enriched uranium will be destroyed whether or not a diplomatic agreement is reached.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said the uranium would be eliminated either on-site or by being moved elsewhere.
The President argued that if the US cooperates with Iran on this matter, there would be no conflict. However, he also warned that if no agreement is reached, the process could be carried out militarily and very forcefully.
Regarding US troops in the Middle East, Trump said it would not be wise to withdraw them before negotiations are completed.
Trump further suggested there is a strong possibility that he is aware of the status of Ali Khamenei, whom he described as "seriously injured," rather than the senior Iranian figure Mahmoud Pezeshkian.
As nuclear tensions between the US and Iran continue, Trump's remarks have brought the issue of uranium back to the forefront of the agenda.
