President Donald Trump has set his sights on a new target for renaming: an ocean.
Speaking at a rally at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee, on Saturday night, Trump looked back on his earlier move to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America and told the crowd the country now needed more.

“So we need a river, we need an ocean. So I was thinking of either the Atlantic or the Pacific. We call it Trump Ocean or … Ocean of the Americas, something like that.”
“Before I get out”
Trump said the Hudson River would be off-limits, joking that renaming it would be “too much” and that Henry Hudson had done “a good job” long ago. He then added: “Before I get out, I think we should have an ocean and we need a great river.”

The White House has not announced any formal proposal. Unlike the Gulf of America change, which was carried out through an executive order for U.S. federal use, the names of the world’s oceans are set through international bodies, and other countries would not be bound by a U.S. decision.
During the same rally, Trump also suggested that the Strait of Hormuz could one day be called the “Trump Strait.” The event was held to support Republican candidates in Tennessee ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, and musician Kid Rock opened the program.
