In the NBC News Decision Desk survey of 32,433 adults conducted between March 30 and April 13, 2026, 63% of respondents said they disapprove of Trump's presidential performance. His approval rating stayed at 37%. According to the poll, the state of the economy and the Iran war are the main reasons for the public's negative views of Trump. Trump received only 32% approval on handling inflation and the cost of living, and 33% approval on the Iran war. Furthermore, 67% of those surveyed think the US is on the wrong track. These results serve as a significant warning for Trump and the Republican Party ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
