Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is ready to negotiate with Russia on mutually halting airstrikes targeting agricultural and energy infrastructure.
Zelenskyy assessed developments in the Russia-Ukraine war during a meeting with local and foreign journalists on Sunday. Saying that airstrikes against Ukraine were continuing, Zelenskyy alleged that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not want to end the war and was expanding the scope of the attacks.
The grain corridor and energy infrastructure are under attack
Zelenskyy said the grain corridor and energy infrastructure in Ukraine were facing intense Russian attacks, and reiterated that Ukraine is ready to discuss with Russia a mutual halt to attacks targeting agricultural and energy infrastructure.
The Russia-Ukraine war has continued since February 24, 2022. Moscow has made ending the war conditional on Kyiv refraining from joining Western military alliances, while Kyiv considers this position interference in its internal affairs.
