Diyanet to select 336 religious officials for overseas assignments

The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı) has published an announcement for the selection examination for religious officials who will be assigned abroad for long-term service as part of the 2026 Autumn Term. Of the total quota of 336 positions, 321 are allocated to male and 15 to female religious officials. Assignments may be made in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, the United States, Canada, Australia, other European and Eurasian countries, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and countries in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Latin America. Application requirements: being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye; having worked for at least 5 years in the relevant service classes as a permanent civil servant under the 4/A status at the Presidency of Religious Affairs; being a graduate of at least a 2-year religious higher education program; having taken at least one of the Vocational Knowledge Level Determination Exams (MBSTS) held in the last 3 years; having had candidacy status removed; and meeting the other requirements specified in the announcement. Applications will begin on October 26, 2026, and end at 5:00 p.m. on November 9, 2026. Applications will be submitted through the Exam Procedures menu on DİBBYS (dibbys.gov.tr) and approved by the relevant units. Candidates will take examinations in professional competence and representational ability. The overseas assignment period for successful candidates will initially be 1 year and may be extended to a total of 5 years if the requirements are met.
