A fire broke out on a tanker passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Friday. The fire began after an unknown object struck the vessel and was later extinguished.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said all crew members on the tanker were safe. The environmental impact of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
The UKMTO called on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to the centre. The incident is under investigation.
