A clip of French television host Cyril Hanouna trading blows with two small humanoid robots is making the rounds again, but the footage is not new. It was filmed during the live broadcast of his show "Tout beau, tout n9uf" (TBT9) on the French channel W9 on the evening of Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Hanouna's guest that night was Stéphane Bohbot, founder of Innov8 Group, a company specializing in digital and connected products whose range includes service robots meant to eventually become fully autonomous. Bohbot brought two smaller models, introduced on screen as "Bob and Leo," that had been programmed to perform boxing exercises. He said the aim was to work on the robots' movement synchronization and, above all, their balance: "If they fall, they are able to get back up on their own."

"The joke costs 40,000 euros"
"Apparently you're not supposed to touch their heads," Hanouna said. After a first kick knocked one of the machines over, he put on boxing gloves and threw a series of punches. The robots ended up on the floor several times after taking blows to the head, and one staggered into a wall before going still. Watching with a mix of amusement and worry, Bohbot remarked: "The joke costs 40,000 euros, all the same."

"I did it to test," Hanouna said amid laughter in the studio. Asked whether the robots had ever faced anything like it, Bohbot replied: "Such violence? No," before adding: "But they were nice, they weren't at their maximum power."
Bohbot had already appeared on the show on March 30 to present a humanoid robot worth between 20,000 and 50,000 euros depending on its options. Hanouna later said on Fun Radio that he wanted a real fight, not a demonstration, against a much larger prototype measuring around 1.80 meters and weighing close to 70 kilograms. "I want a fight against him," he said. The show's new season began on W9 on August 31.
