The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating an air traffic incident that occurred at Boston Logan International Airport on Saturday, June 20.
The FAA stated that the crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2351 performed a go-around maneuver due to another aircraft departing from an intersecting runway. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM local time.
Delta said in a statement that the flight from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Boston was carrying 129 passengers and 6 crew members.
The airline noted that during descent, the aircraft's systems alerted the crew to potential traffic, and the crew then performed the go-around maneuver by following established procedures in coordination with air traffic control.
A Delta spokesperson said, "Because nothing is more important than safety, the crew of Delta Flight 2351 followed established procedures in coordination with Air Traffic Control, maneuvered while approaching Boston-Logan, and landed safely."
The aircraft landed safely, it was reported.
