An official from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy announced that ship transits through the Strait of Hormuz have completely stopped. Referring to US policies in the region, the official stated that this situation will continue as long as Washington's actions persist.
"As long as US hostile actions and mischief continue, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed and no permission will be granted for ship transits," the source said, stressing that traffic in the strait is currently at zero.
The Iranian source said that any attempt to cross the strait, especially by violating ships, will be met with a response by the Iranian Armed Forces. The statement claimed that in recent days, several ships attempting to cross the strait with US military support were also stopped by Iran.
The statement reiterated that under current conditions, traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has dropped to zero and the waterway will remain closed, with no transit permits issued, as long as US hostile actions continue.
