Spanish football giant Real Madrid has broken a new record in annual revenue among sports clubs. According to financial data approved by the club's board, the €1.221 billion generated in the 2025-2026 season, excluding player transfer income, marks the first time any sports institution has exceeded the annual €1.2 billion mark.
The club increased its revenues by 3.1 percent compared to the previous season. The strong performance of directly managed commercial activities stood out in this growth, while stadium revenues grew by 11 percent and marketing revenues by 6 percent. The renewal of sponsorship contracts and new agreements significantly contributed to marketing revenues.
26 Consecutive Seasons of Financial Surplus
Real Madrid increased its earnings before interest, depreciation and taxes (EBITDA) by 18 percent compared to the previous year, raising it to €287.4 million. After-tax profit was €26.3 million. With these results, the club has now recorded a financial surplus for the 26th consecutive season.

Strong Growth Over the Past Seven Years
The club reported that its total revenues increased by 61 percent over the past seven years, while stadium revenues doubled in the same period. The total cost of the stadium renovation project reached €1.407 billion. Over the same seven-year period, spending on player contracts rose by 37 percent, an increase of €166 million; last season alone, €161 million was spent on new transfers.
Solid Financial Structure and Transfer Moves
According to data released by Real Madrid, its net assets stand at €624 million. Of this, €83 million is cash, while net debt, excluding the stadium project, is just €9 million. Additionally, an unused credit line of €475 million provides the club with investment flexibility.
The club stated that these indicators reflect the success of its economic and sporting strategy. Emphasizing that it has maintained competitiveness in the transfer market without compromising financial discipline, Real Madrid announced that it has agreed terms with four new players during the summer transfer window and is close to completing another signing.
