A Russian Su-30SM fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region during a scheduled training flight on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Both pilots ejected before the aircraft went down and were evacuated by a ground search-and-rescue team, the ministry said, adding that their lives were not in danger.

Russian media, citing sources, reported that the jet came down in the Chernyakhovsky district, between the settlements of Timofeyevka and Zelyony Bor, and that both pilots were injured and taken to a military hospital.
The cause of the crash has not been officially announced. Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea bordered by NATO members Poland and Lithuania.
