Social media influencer Brianna Johnson, 21, killed in shooting on her luxury SUV in Florida
21-year-old social media influencer Brianna Johnson was killed in a shooting attack on her luxury Lamborghini SUV in Miramar, near Miami. Two other people in the vehicle were seriously injured.
21-year-old Brianna Johnson, known as "dreamdoll_brii" on social media, was killed in a shooting attack on her luxury vehicle in Miramar, Florida.
According to the Miramar Police Department, the attack occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, following the July 4 holiday. Johnson was driving her lime green Lamborghini Urus SUV with two other people when a white sedan pulled up alongside and opened fire on the driver's side.
Security camera footage shows the attackers' vehicle following the Lamborghini, and after the gunshots, the luxury SUV lost control and crashed into the wall of a house. Police were alerted to the incident by the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system.
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss said the gunfire was "rapid and successive." Photos shared on social media show multiple bullet holes in the doors of the Lamborghini.
Alleged party and gas station fight
According to local media WSVN, the three victims attended a large party at a nearby house before the attack. Sources claimed the group then stopped at a gas station, where a fight broke out. Investigators are considering that the luxury SUV may have been targeted and followed because of this.
Johnson died at the scene, and the two other passengers, whose identities have not been released, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
She had around 500,000 followers
Johnson, who had 88,000 followers on Instagram and 388,000 on TikTok, shared lifestyle and beauty content. After news of her death, followers posted condolence messages on her social media accounts. A user claiming to be Johnson's cousin shared a mourning post on Instagram Stories.
Police said the homicide investigation is actively ongoing.
