SpaceX announced it successfully completed the 13th test flight of its Starship rocket. According to the company's statement on X platform, the rocket was launched from the Starbase facility in Texas and, after placing 20 Starlink V3 satellites into orbit, performed a soft landing in the Indian Ocean.
This successful flight followed a series of past challenges for Starship. The rocket had broken apart during its 7th test flight on January 16, 2025, 8th on March 7, 2025, and 9th on May 28, 2025. The 10th flight was postponed due to adverse weather but later completed successfully. The 11th flight on October 13, 2025, also proceeded without issues.
In Starship's previous test flight, the 12th, although the launch was successful, engine failures occurred during the cruise phase, and the rocket fell into the Indian Ocean, catching fire unexpectedly.
