In Dublin, more than 10,000 people joined a march from the Garden of Remembrance to the Dáil, the 21st national demonstration of its kind since October 2023, broadcaster RTÉ reported. Organizers from the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign, backed by more than 160 civil society groups, said the Gaza ceasefire remains “an absolute fiction.”

Arrests in London, 15,000 in Auckland
Several thousand people marched through central London in the “National March for Palestine,” passing near Parliament with signs reading “End the genocide.” “We are here today to mark three years of the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” Aimee Shalan, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, told AFP, calling for “full sanctions on Israel.” Police said they made several arrests, including people carrying placards supporting the banned group Palestine Action.

The day began in New Zealand, where an estimated 15,000 people marched up Auckland’s Queen Street to Albert Park, with rallies in Wellington, Christchurch and at least 23 other locations. Footage aired by Turkish broadcaster TRT also showed marches in Berlin, Paris, Zurich and Canada.
According to Gaza’s health ministry, Israeli strikes have killed some 1,450 Palestinians since a ceasefire took effect a year ago, and more than 74,200 since the war began.
Athens marchers head for the Israeli Embassy
In Athens, Palestinian groups, trade unions, student associations and migrant communities gathered in Eleftherias Park in the early afternoon before marching toward the Israeli Embassy, Greek outlet tvxs reported, with organizers demanding that Greece sever all ties with Israel. A separate march was held in Thessaloniki.
The embassy has been a focal point before: on May 22, activists from the “March to Gaza Greece” movement unfurled a giant Palestinian flag, lit by flares, from the roof of a building directly across the street.

Paris joins the day of protest
Crowds also filled the streets of Paris, where marchers waving Palestinian flags carried banners reading “Pas d’armes pour le génocide” (“No weapons for genocide”) and called for a boycott of Israel. Footage from French outlet Focus showed a giant key, a symbol of the 1948 Nakba and the Palestinian right of return, carried through the crowd.
