Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ambassador Sözen Usluer, reiterated Türkiye’s call for accountability for what Ankara describes as the crime of genocide committed by Israel in Gaza, speaking at the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Permanent Mission said on Tuesday.

Usluer underlined Türkiye’s strong support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to a two-state solution based on an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Drawing attention to the updated database of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, which lists business enterprises involved in activities related to Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, Usluer called on the international community to take concrete steps against activities that support and expand illegal Israeli settlements.
