US President Donald Trump said that the country could face a migration crisis similar to what is happening in Ceuta, Spain’s North African territory, if Democrats come to power. In an interview with Fox News, Trump made this warning while describing the recent images from Ceuta as 'horrible'.
“Remember that photo. If the wrong side comes to power, we will be like this in three years,” Trump said, adding, “If Democrats come to power, you won’t have a very good life.”
Spanish officials announced that tens of thousands of irregular migrants have crossed from Morocco to Ceuta in recent days. According to preliminary estimates by Spain's National Police, more than 49,000 people entered Ceuta from Morocco in the last 24 hours. Officials noted that determining the exact number is difficult.

A Spanish government source said that migrants continued to cross throughout the night and into the early hours of Friday morning, with no sign that the influx would slow down immediately.
Spanish officials also announced that 34 people have lost their lives in recent days while attempting to cross the border.

Ceuta is a Spanish autonomous city on the northern coast of Africa with a land border with Morocco. The enclave has long served as one of the European Union's external borders and is a frequent crossing point for migrants seeking to enter Europe from North Africa.
