An avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan's Karakoram range struck an international climbing team. The body of American climber Sarah Mallory Geis, who went missing in the avalanche, was found by rescue teams on Friday.
Pakistani officials announced that the bodies of Omani national Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy and Nepali national Pur Bahadur Gurung were also recovered. Drone footage revealed signs of more bodies in the area.
Pakistan Alpine Club President Irfan Arshad said search and rescue efforts would continue.
"We hope to continue search and rescue operations both by air and land until we find survivors or bodies."
Gilgit-Baltistan police announced that high-altitude porters and rescue teams were working in difficult terrain and weather to transport the bodies to the base camp.

The list of missing climbers includes British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja, who holds the record for the fastest ascent of the world's 14 highest peaks. The other missing climbers were reported to be from Nepal, Pakistan, China, and the UK.
The rescue operation on Broad Peak, at 8,047 meters, was temporarily suspended Friday evening due to bad weather. The remote and rugged nature of the area is making the work difficult.
