President Donald Trump said he does not trust anyone in politics when asked in an interview with Newsmax whether he trusts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I don’t trust anybody, honestly,” Trump said. “In the world of politics I don’t trust anybody.”
Trump did not indicate that the remark reflected any specific disagreement with Netanyahu. He said the two have “a very good relationship” and praised what he called their “very successful” military partnership against Iran.

“They’d like me to be”
Asked whether he plans to involve himself in Israel’s Oct. 27 election, Trump said: “Well, they’d like me to be. Yeah, they’d like me to be.” He did not say whether he would endorse Netanyahu.
Trump has so far avoided explicitly endorsing the prime minister. Recent polls show Netanyahu’s governing bloc short of the 61 seats needed for a majority in the 120-member Knesset.
