In the U.S. state of Pennsylvania's Bensalem township, 62-year-old school bus aide Ali Khan was arrested on allegations of sexually abusing a special needs student. Khan faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor, and indecent assault.
The incident came to light on Thursday, July 30, 2026 when the student's family reported it to police. An investigation by the Bensalem Police Department examined interior bus surveillance footage. The recordings revealed that on July 29 and 30, Khan directed the 14-year-old girl to a specific seat, then touched her inappropriately while fastening her seatbelt and after she was seated.
Police also determined from the footage that Khan engaged in sexual acts and used his cellphone to take both photos and video of the student. The suspect is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of the $500,000 bail.

The Bensalem School District announced that the employee in question was immediately removed from duty pending the outcome of criminal and administrative investigations. District officials stated that student safety is the highest priority and that they will continue to fully cooperate with the case.
The Bensalem Police praised the courage of the assaulted student in reporting the incident and thanked the school district for its support during the investigation. Police reiterated that student safety is the top priority.
Legal process continues
Ali Khan's preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The charges mark the beginning of the legal process, and the suspect's guilt has not been proven until a final verdict is reached.
