An off-duty Con Edison worker was shot and killed on the George Washington Bridge on Tuesday night in what authorities described as a possible road-rage attack, NBC New York reported.
The victim, identified as 46-year-old Koran Irvine of Valley Cottage in Rockland County, was driving on a ramp to the westbound upper level when his car nearly collided with another vehicle, sparking a dispute. As both cars continued toward New Jersey, someone in the other vehicle opened fire, shattering his rear passenger window, according to law enforcement.

Police said the bullet appeared to hit the driver's seat headrest before striking Irvine. He was found unresponsive in the driver's seat and taken to Englewood Hospital in New Jersey, where he was pronounced dead.
"We are heartbroken," Con Edison said in a statement mourning the loss of a member of its workforce. The shooter drove away after the attack. NBC New York later reported, citing two sources, that a man was in custody and being questioned, but police had not officially confirmed an arrest.
