U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper completed his 10-day visit program in the Middle East on Saturday. The tour covered countries where U.S. forces are deployed in the region, as well as the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Gulf of Oman.
Cooper visited Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, where he met with military leaders and officials. The CENTCOM commander also met with U.S. troops serving in the region.

More than 50,000 U.S. troops serve in the Middle East
More than 50,000 U.S. troops are serving across the Middle East. Cooper thanked the personnel aboard USS Abraham Lincoln for their dedication and courage.
Cooper, who was making his second visit to the ship, described the Lincoln Carrier Strike Group as a strong team of highly accomplished Americans. He said the deployment would go down in history as one of the most operationally demanding and consequential missions of the modern era.
USS Abraham Lincoln's deployment in the region
San Diego-based USS Abraham Lincoln departed in November for its deployment and reached the Middle East in January. The aircraft carrier is operating in the Gulf of Oman.
In February, Cooper visited USS Abraham Lincoln together with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump.
