A cyberattack affecting public services in Norway began on Monday night and lasted about 30 hours. The attack disrupted 10 public services.
The Norwegian Agency for Digitalisation said the attack continued "with undiminished force." Are Kvistad, the agency's press officer, said the attack was two to three times larger than the previous incident.
Third denial-of-service attack in nine weeks
The latest incident was the third denial-of-service attack faced by the Norwegian Agency for Digitalisation within nine weeks. Officials said they did not want to speculate about the person or people behind the attack.
Kvistad warned that it could take time for all systems to operate at full capacity even after the attack had been brought to an end and the resulting problems had been resolved.
No access to sensitive data
Officials said the attackers had not accessed sensitive information stored in the systems.
