A protester wearing a shirt reading “Release the Epstein Files” was punched in the face by an apparent Trump supporter during President Donald Trump’s rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday, according to video of the incident and multiple reports.
Police intervened and escorted the protester out of the venue. Most reports identified the protester as a woman, although Trump referred to the person as a man from the stage.
Trump: “paid protester”

Trump told the crowd the heckler was a paid protester, claiming such protesters are funded by the left “to destroy our country.” Watching the scene, he said the person was “going home to his mother,” called it “terrible,” and mocked the protester’s weight, saying he had to go on a diet.
Trump also described the person as a “very low-class protester” and claimed the protester’s parents had voted for him.
The shirt referred to ongoing bipartisan pressure over the release of additional documents from the investigations into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
