President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with representatives of U.S.-based think tanks in New York as part of his diplomatic engagements surrounding the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting was held at the Turkish House and organized in coordination with the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA), bringing Erdoğan together with members of the U.S. policy and research community.

The gathering was held behind closed doors. Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications confirmed the meeting but did not release details about the specific issues discussed or the individual participants.
The meeting came during a busy diplomatic program for Erdoğan in New York, where he held a series of bilateral and multilateral talks with world leaders, international officials, business representatives and other groups on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Erdoğan’s engagements in New York also included meetings focusing on Türkiye-U.S. relations. During a separate gathering with representatives of the Turkish-American business community, Erdoğan said strategic cooperation between Türkiye and the United States was developing across multiple areas as the two countries approach the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
