The United Nations said its warehouse in Gaza’s Khan Younis was damaged by an Israeli airstrike. Shirin Yaseen, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, addressed developments in the occupied Palestinian territories during a daily press briefing.
Yaseen said no UN personnel were injured in the attack, adding, "Fortunately, no UN personnel were injured."
100 families lost their belongings in Gaza
Yaseen said about 100 Palestinian families lost their tents and other belongings in fires caused by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza last week. She said UN humanitarian partners were working to support the families.
Yaseen said Israel continued to restrict humanitarian aid to Gaza and called for the restrictions to be lifted and humanitarian operations to receive funding.
UN says aid is insufficient
Yaseen said humanitarian aid was still entering Gaza but that the current volume was insufficient to meet needs. She said all crossing points needed to remain open.
Yaseen said communication channels with Israeli officials over the restrictions remained continuously open, but noted that they could not secure full access to Gaza. She said they needed to engage with all parties to reach those in need.

About 3,000 people displaced in Hebron
Yaseen said pressure from Israeli forces continued in Hebron, in the occupied West Bank. She said about 3,000 Palestinians had been displaced from two neighborhoods in the city.
Yaseen said Israeli forces continued their activities in the neighborhoods, blocked access roads and imposed tight movement restrictions. She said Palestinians were being denied access to their livelihoods, education and health services.
Yaseen reiterated the call for the protection of Palestinians throughout the West Bank and said those displaced must be allowed to return voluntarily and safely. She called for further forced displacement and destruction to be prevented.
Attacks on mosques in the West Bank
Responding to a question about attacks on 14 mosques in the West Bank this year, Yaseen said the attacks were unacceptable.
Yaseen said places of worship must be protected and called for religious freedom to be guaranteed not only in the West Bank but everywhere.
