Jon Stewart has signed a two-year deal to continue as the once-a-week host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" through 2028, The Hollywood Reporter reported. He will also remain an executive producer of the show. His previous one-year deal ran through 2026.
"Jon Stewart is a generational talent, and The Daily Show continues to be one of the most influential franchises on television and a cornerstone of Comedy Central," said George Cheeks, co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV.

Stewart returned to the show in 2024, anchoring it once a week, usually on Mondays, while correspondents rotate as hosts from Tuesday to Thursday. His return has helped lift ratings: the show's third-quarter audience of just over 1 million viewers was its largest for that quarter since 2018.
