MrBeast’s latest video, “Eat Everything In A Grocery Store, Win $1,000,000,” has become the most-viewed upload of his career in its first 24 hours, drawing more than 70 million views on its first day.
The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, wrote on October 4, a day after the video went live: “New video is our most viewed video ever in 24 hours but more importantly, it has 10,000+ comments saying it’s our BEST video ever (literally). Even though I’ve been making content for 17 years now I still think my best days are ahead, appreciate you all.” A YouTube analytics screenshot he shared showed the video at 71.8 million views, ranked first by views among his last 10 uploads.

The hour-long video has also generated more than one billion minutes of total watch time, with the average viewer watching for more than 20 minutes, Dexerto reported. By October 5, it was approaching 100 million views.
202 days inside a grocery store

The challenge began with MrBeast buying an entire grocery store and inviting contestants to live inside it, with an original prize of $250,000 for the last person remaining. After 67 days, four contestants were still refusing to leave, so MrBeast offered to restock the entire store and raise the prize to $1 million if they could clear all of the food inside.
By the time the challenge ended, the contestants had spent 202 days — more than six and a half months — inside the store. Almost all of the roughly 4.3 million calories had been cleared, with only 6,614 calories going to waste. Announcing the video on October 3, MrBeast called it “our longest challenge ever.”
