Türkiye’s Ambassador to the United States Sedat Önal attended the TACCS Gala 2026 in Miami, Florida, bringing together prominent representatives of the Turkish and American business communities. The event was held on September 12 at the Rusty Pelican in Miami and focused on strengthening economic, diplomatic and community ties between Türkiye and the United States.
This year’s gala was held under the theme “Two Nations, One Celebration,” coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
U.S. Officials Attend the Gala
According to Türkiye’s Embassy in Washington, U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson, Miami-Dade Mayor Eileen Higgins and Doral Mayor Christi Fraga were among the officials attending the event.
Their participation highlighted the gala’s role as a platform bringing together political figures, business leaders and members of the Turkish-American community.
Önal: Türkiye-U.S. Relations Are in One of Their Best Periods
Addressing guests at the gala, Ambassador Önal said Türkiye-U.S. relations are experiencing one of their strongest periods in recent history.
He emphasized that exceptional dialogue between the leaders of the two countries, institutional coordination and cooperation on regional issues have played an important role in the positive momentum between Ankara and Washington.
Message of Unity to the Turkish-American Community
Önal also emphasized the important role played by the Turkish-American community in relations between the two countries.
He noted that Turkish Americans serve as a bridge between Türkiye and the United States across a wide range of areas, including business, politics, culture and social relations.
The ambassador stressed the importance of strengthening the community’s position in the United States and acting in unity and solidarity, particularly when it comes to representing and defending Türkiye’s national interests.
Turkish and American Business Leaders Come Together
The annual TACCS gala brought together Turkish and American companies, business executives, community leaders and representatives from various sectors.
Ambassador Sedat Önal participated as the keynote speaker, with the event placing particular emphasis on expanding bilateral trade, encouraging cross-border investment and creating new opportunities for economic cooperation between Türkiye and the United States.
Türkiye’s Embassy in Washington also congratulated TACCS President Erhan Çevikel and members of the organization for successfully hosting the annual gathering.
