Actress Selma Blair, known for “Legally Blonde” and “Cruel Intentions,” was arrested after an alleged disturbance aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York on Sunday, Oct. 11.
According to reports, the 54-year-old actress tried to open the aircraft door during the flight and then punched one flight attendant and bit another. Crew members restrained her, and Port Authority police met the plane when it landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport at around 11 p.m. Eastern time. Two flight attendants were reported injured, one of whom received hospital care.
Assault charge and bail
Blair is also accused of kicking a police officer while being taken by ambulance and of assaulting a nurse at the hospital, according to TMZ. Court records cited by Variety show she was charged with second-degree assault and released on $20,000 bail. Some reports said the FBI was looking into the incident.

Delta confirmed the incident took place on Flight 938 and said it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior.
Representative cites medical emergency
Blair’s representative said she experienced a medical emergency that led to her conduct, that she received immediate medical attention after landing and that she is in stable condition. Blair has publicly discussed living with multiple sclerosis, but it was not clear whether the emergency was related to the illness.
