Shivon Zilis, the Neuralink executive and mother of four of Elon Musk’s children, says the billionaire ended their relationship without warning — and she has made public a text exchange about the White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping, which Musk attended alone.
In the messages, Zilis told Musk it had been wonderful to see him for breakfast and that she loved him; on Sept. 24, he replied that he loved her too. “I didn’t realize that this Xi dinner included significant other (Beijing one did not) or I would have invited you,” Musk wrote. Three days later, Zilis wrote: “New day, new life.”

‘In love to let go in a week’
“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning,” Zilis wrote in a lengthy statement, published after it was noticed that Musk had unfollowed her.

“I feel happy that I got to show Elon how it feels to be deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness,” she said. “I loved being that counterbalancing place of safety, sense of calm, and love — and delighted in bringing a smile back to his face when he was down. I will miss him dearly.”
Zilis said she hopes and prays that she and Musk can stay close friends and raise their children together. She closed with: “I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. God speed, Elon, the world is lucky to have you.”
