U.S. President Donald Trump said in a statement that he wanted the term “superintelligence” to be used instead of “artificial intelligence.” Trump said they regarded anyone using the term “artificial intelligence” as an “enemy.”
Trump said the White House was advocating “superintelligence” as a widely accepted and more accurate term.
Use in public institutions planned
On September 30, Trump signed an executive order calling for the use of “superintelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence,” along with “SI,” the English abbreviation for the term.

According to an information note published by the White House, the order requires the use of the terms “superintelligence” and “SI” in official correspondence, public announcements, policy documents and other non-legal documents issued by ministries and public institutions.
