Trump on Iran: ‘Maybe we blow them up’ or we make a deal
Asked about a deal with Iran, Trump said: “We blow them up or we make a deal… It will end very soon, one way or the other.”
US President Donald Trump said “maybe you blow them up” when asked about a possible deal with Iran. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump was reminded that he had called the Iranians “crazy” and asked how a deal could be completed if the other side was crazy.
“We have to make that decision: we blow them up or we make a deal. But the time is coming. It will end very soon, one way or the other,” Trump said.
The war between the US and Israel and Iran has been going on for about seven months. Uncertainty over talks mediated by Qatar has pushed oil prices higher, with Brent crude climbing above $100 a barrel.
