U.S. President Trump said Iran was seeking a basis for an agreement with the United States in remarks on the Iran issue.
As the November 3 elections approach, Trump assessed the steps the United States would take regarding the war with Iran and said he would sit down for negotiations only if the two sides could reach the “right” deal. He argued that Iran was losing on every front and therefore wanted to reach an agreement.
Trump said he was weighing whether to launch another attack on Iran and that all options remained open.
Trump also said that the United States was in talks with the Houthis and that the sides were assessing whether an agreement could be reached.
