The US Coast Guard will resume search efforts for Michigan resident Lynette Hooker, who went missing in the Bahamas in April. According to officials, there are inconsistencies between the statements given by her husband Brian Hooker and the boat's GPS data on the night she disappeared. This caused the searches to be conducted in the wrong area. The Coast Guard is requesting permission from Bahamian authorities for divers to re-scan the sea. Lynette Hooker's daughter Karli Aylesworth provided a DNA sample of her mother to the Coast Guard to support the investigation. The FBI is also continuing to examine the evidence. Brian Hooker denies any wrongdoing related to his wife's disappearance and states that he wants to find her. The incident began on the evening of April 4 in the Bahamas when Lynette Hooker fell from an 8-meter boat. Brian Hooker said he towed the boat to Marsh Harbour Boat Yard around the morning of April 4 and reported the situation to the police. Hooker was arrested after the disappearance but was released without facing charges. Authorities report that the investigation is ongoing.
