US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has raised several immigration fees for applications postmarked on or after Oct. 16, 2026. The increases are annual inflation adjustments required under the H.R. 1 law.
The fee for an initial work permit (Form I-765) for asylum applicants, parolees and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) applicants rises from $560 to $570. The annual asylum fee goes up from $102 to $105, the TPS application fee (Form I-821) from $510 to $520, and the parole fee on Form I-131 from $1,020 to $1,050.

Some fees are unchanged: the $100 fee for an initial asylum application stays the same, and work permit renewals remain $275 for asylum applicants and $280 for parolees and TPS holders.
USCIS rejects applications filed without the correct fee, so applicants — including Turkish citizens in the US with pending asylum, parole or TPS cases — should check the current fee schedule before filing.
