Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek attended the Global Business Summit in New Jersey while accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to the United States for the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
The summit, organized by the Turkish American Business Association-American Chamber of Commerce (TABA-AmCham), brought together representatives from the Turkish and American business communities.

Speaking at the event, Gürlek said resolving commercial disputes within a reasonable period remains among Türkiye’s priorities and outlined steps being taken to make judicial proceedings more efficient and faster.
He said Türkiye would continue taking measures to strengthen the investment environment, respond to the needs of the business community and bring legislation in line with current economic and commercial conditions.

Gürlek also emphasized Türkiye’s strong production infrastructure, strategic geographical position and expanding manufacturing capacity, saying the country has significant potential to become a regional management and operations hub.
He said reforms in the field of law are intended to further strengthen this potential by creating a more efficient and predictable environment for businesses and investors.
The New Jersey meeting formed part of Türkiye’s diplomatic and economic engagements in the United States during UN General Assembly week, as Turkish officials held talks with representatives from politics, business and other sectors.
