Police in Berlin intervened forcefully against a crowd of more than 1,000 people who had gathered to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza, Anadolu Agency reported.
Officers moved in on demonstrators near the Kottbusser Tor subway station in the Kreuzberg district and detained a large number of people. Footage from the scene shows helmeted police pinning protesters to the ground and leading them away to police vans.

Tight security on Oct. 7 anniversary
Berlin saw 10 registered demonstrations on the third anniversary of the Oct. 7 attacks — eight in solidarity with Israel and two pro-Palestinian — with around 1,000 police officers deployed across the city. Local media reported that one of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations was already under investigation over alleged glorification of violence.
