U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 100 commercial ships changed course within 60 days after the maritime blockade against Iran was reinstated.
CENTCOM said in a statement on its X account that the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz was continuing without interruption. The command claimed that no ship had been able to pass through the blockade without permission from U.S. forces.

CENTCOM said the United States first imposed the maritime blockade against Iran on April 13. It said the blockade was suspended on June 18 under an agreement between the two countries and that the U.S. military resumed the measure on July 14 after the agreement broke down.
