The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a coastal flood advisory for coastal Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, warning of moderate coastal flooding through 8 p.m. EDT Friday, Oct. 30.
Flooding of lots, parks and roads is expected, with only isolated road closures, according to the advisory issued Thursday afternoon.

Drivers are urged to avoid flooded roads
Forecasters advised residents who must travel to allow extra time, as some roads may be closed, and not to drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Owners of flood-prone property were urged to take steps to protect it.
Drivers are advised to check weather and traffic conditions before setting out and to follow instructions from local authorities.
Palm Beach County also faces a high rip current risk
In coastal Palm Beach County, the weather service also warned of a high risk of dangerous rip currents through Friday evening, noting that rip currents can sweep even strong swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
