U.S. Vice President JD Vance said he may have disagreed with U.S. President Donald Trump over the Iran war.
In an interview published Friday, Vance discussed his relationship with Tucker Carlson and said he understood the political commentator’s harsh criticism of the war.

Carlson has argued that the Iran war serves Israel’s interests rather than those of the United States and said it contradicts Trump’s promise to avoid costly foreign military interventions. Vance said Carlson was “very, very angry” over the war.
Vance said he had discussed the Iran war with Carlson both privately and publicly. “I know and understand how he feels,” Vance said, adding that he had told Carlson their disagreement over the issue should not prevent him from evaluating Trump’s other policies.
Vance also cited Trump’s policy of closed borders and ending what he called “irrational racial discrimination” against white people in university admissions as policies that could be defended.
